Listening and singing to a wide variety of music as a child, Kay developed a great appreciation of vocal singers & musicians. At age 17 she literally walked on with a group, later to became Peregrine her first band. Kays biggest influence besides the vocal trio, ''The Goodmans" (Mom & Aunts) is Linda Ronstadt her favorite singer. Other favorite bands and singers include The Beatles, Eric Clapton, Heart, KD Lang, Stone Temple Pilots, and Steely Dan.
